Today Member for Williamstown Melissa Horne MP visited Altona North Primary School to announce the appointment of Workshop Architecture to design the school’s $3.8 million upgrade.
The upgrade will transform learning areas and will provide students with the environment they need to achieve their best learning outcomes.
To date, the Andrews Labor Government has invested $5.6 billion into Victoria’s school infrastructure to roll out 100 new schools and also 1400 school upgrades across the state.
The most recent Budget included major upgrades at 109 schools, of which Altona North Primary School is one.
Under the Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
This building boom will continue over the coming years, with the Government having appointed builders to start delivering 11 schools across the state that will open in 2020 and 14 schools that will open in 2021.
The Labor Government is building the Education State is investing in local schools to ensure every student gets a good quality education, regardless of their postcode.
