Students at Williamstown High School are a step closer to getting the facilities they need for a great start in life, with an architect appointed to design the school’s exciting upgrade.
Member for Williamstown Melissa Horne MP today announced that Y2 Architecture has been appointed to design the school’s $1.37 million upgrade to their study centre and to complete the next stage of the school’s theatre complex.
The 2019-20 Budget included $137,000 to fund this planning process.
The Andrews Labor Government has invested $5.6 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
Under the Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
This building boom will continue over the coming years, with the Government having appointed builders to start delivering 11 schools across the state that will open in 2020 and 14 schools that will open in 2021.
The Labor Government is building the Education State to ensure that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
