A Stronger RSL In Newport
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will ensure the Newport RSL can keep serving local veterans and their families across the Williamstown electorate.
Labor will invest $200,000 towards upgrades for the RSL’s facilities and kitchen, ensuring this much-loved community organisation remains strong for many generations to come.
This builds on our record of support for the Newport RSL who earlier this year received $36,000 through Veterans Capital Works Grant Program and $9,900 through the Living Local Grants program for airconditioning.
RSL sub- branches are run by a volunteer committee who provide support to veterans and their families. For years the Newport RSL has provided veterans and local families with a friendly and welcoming community space with live music and social events.
A re-elected Labor Government will ensure the future of this important organisation.
Only Labor will deliver what matters for Williamstown – backing the important organisations that keep our community strong.
