National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering is held from 19 – 25 May 2025.
Volunteering connects and enriches local communities through combined dedication, empathy, and participation.
The event highlights the importance of volunteers within our community and promotes volunteering across the country.
The theme of National Volunteer Week 2025 is Connecting Communities.
The week encourages community members to celebrate their local volunteers by sharing videos and pictures, writing thank you messages and attending celebration events.
Multiple events are planned across the country to celebrate volunteers, ranging from breakfast meetups to Volunteer Award Nights in local communities.
