Member for Williamstown, Melissa Horne attended the opening event of the Spotswood Summer Sessions on Saturday, January 18th.
The Spotswood Summer Sessions were organised by the Spotswood Traders Associate and are held at the new Forest Street Pop-Up Space.
The sessions will include live bands, local artists and activities for children while promoting local eateries and stores.
The events are intended to aid in supporting local business by bringing visitors to the Spotswood area through community engagement and new summer activities.
Future dates for Spotswood Summer Sessions include:
- Thursday, 30th January | 4:00 PM – 8:30 PM
- Saturday, 8th February | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Saturday, 1st March | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
The Forest Street Pop-Up Space and was made possible by a Westgate Neighbourhood Fund of $17,707.
The $10 million West Gate Neighbourhood Fund was established to support communities in
Melbourne’s inner west during the construction of the West Gate Tunnel. The West Gate
Neighbourhood Fund has supported over 200 community projects at a value of more than
$9.5 million.
