In 2020 during students’ period of remote learning I launched my Primary Schools Isolation Challenge. I encouraged kids in Williamstown to submit photos or drawings of the activities that they got up to during isolation, with the most creative entries receiving a book voucher from either the Sun Bookshop or Book and Paper in Williamstown. All of the entries blew me away, and I was so pleased with the effort and passion of these kids.
My kids had to learn remotely too, so I know all too well the importance of making sure that they got out and about during the COVID-19 restrictions, whether it be exercising by walking to the local park, at-home yoga or cooking up a storm.
I wanted to show you the entries that I received, you can see these appended below – and each student who submitted their piece received a book voucher to either the Sun Bookshop or Book and Paper. I wanted to congratulate each of the kids for their efforts, as well as a massive shout out and thanks to all the parents, teachers and school staff that supported our kids during their period of remote learning.
