The Allan Labor Government is utilising the Local Sports Infrastructure Fund to provide local sports clubs in Williamstown with new and upgraded facilities.
Altona North will be receiving funding for the development of a new, youth-focused, active recreation initiative located in Paisley Park called The Zone.
The project is incorporating a pump track, basketball half court, solar lighting, shelter, park seating and landscaping.
The total project cost will be around $561,235, with $250,000 coming from the Local Sports Infrastructure Fund.
The Fund helps sports clubs to build and upgrades facilities including female friendly change rooms, courts, sports fields, pavilions and more.
The Victorian Budget 2025/26 is also kicking in $20 million to continue providing new and improved community sports infrastructure, including through the LSIF.
