Better facilities are on their way for students at Altona Primary School, thanks to the Allan Labor Government.
Member for Williamstown Melissa Horne today announced Reliance Construction and Maintenance Pty Ltd has been appointed to upgrade the fencing, and upgrade and modernise the playground, at the school in Blyth Street.
The Labor Government allocated $1.2 million in the Victorian Budget 2023/24 for the project, which will give students the amenities they need and deserve.
The project involves upgrading the school’s fencing, and upgrading and modernising the playground.
Building will start over the coming weeks and is forecast to be completed by the end of this year.
The Government is building the Education State so every student can receive a great education in their local area.
We have invested $16.9 billion over the past 10 years to build new schools and deliver more than 2,200 school upgrades − supporting more than 26,000 jobs in construction and associated industries.
The Victorian Budget 2024/25 invested $947.7 million to build 16 more new schools – completing the promise to deliver 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026.
