Member for Williamstown, Melissa Horne attended the Australian Day Citizenship Ceremony on Saturday, January 26.
Held at Williamstown Town Hall, the Australia Day citizenship ceremony is a formal event where new citizens are welcomed into the Australian community.
New citizens were celebrated as they took their final pledge to become Australians.
The Hobsons Bay City Council Citizen of the Year Awards were also announced.
The Awards reward and recognise individuals and organisations that have made a noteworthy contribution to a local community.
Congratulations to Lara Week for being awarded the 2025 Citizen of the Year for her community engagement and being a key spokesperson for Techno Park Drive.
Congratulations to Albee Damnics for being awarded the 2025 Young Citizen of the Year for her volunteering in sports and advocacy for gender equality.
